Did you know... The Pretentious Kants actually began with the four-piece cabaret band The Vaudevilles—who now make up the rhythm section of the full ensemble. Originally formed as part of Jean Brigitte’s “Cabaret Club” in Stavanger, The Vaudevilles have charmed (and occasionally scandalized) audiences across Norway and Sweden with their raunchy, theatrical, and irresistibly entertaining takes on jazz and cabaret classics. Think feather boas, filthy laughs, and fabulous musicianship. And yes, they’re still going strong.
